An indispensable staple ingredient in any Japanese kitchen, this organic mirin-type is ideal for delivering a small dose of umami to many different dishes, particularly sauce or broth, such as sukiyaki broth and teriyaki sauce. You can also use it to add a mildly sweet taste to dishes or tenderize meats. It is very versatile, especially in stir-fries, sauces, and marinades. When used as part of a marinade or glaze, it produces a beautiful luster, attractive finished color, and appealing aroma, and also serves to balance the smell and taste of fish.

Steam shellfish such as shrimp and crab. Add it to some fish stock for a subtle flavor of the sweet cooking wine, or complement it further with other ingredients such as lime, ginger or soy sauce.

Top your steaks with intense flavorful sake-mirin butter. Simply saut? some minced garlic in a teaspoon of olive oil over low heat, then add 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter. Once the butter has melted, add 2 tablespoons of sake and 1 tablespoon of mirin. Stir together, season with salt and pepper, and drizzle over your steaks!

Organic Rice, Organic Malted Rice, Salt, Organic Sugar.

Good Aji-Mirin

This semi-sweet aji-mirin is suitable for everyday use be it mentsuyu for Agedashi, a carmelized glaze for Mitarashi Dango or simply as a meat tenderizer. It's the perfect foil for rice vinegar and katuobushi dashi. I use it almost every day. Recommended.
