The texture is smoother and chewier than the frozen ramen noodles I purchased at a nearby grocery store. I love it and will reorder soon.
Each has a special flavour. Too easy to snack on these, but I try to save them for special desserts.
Yes, I admit it . . . I am a passionate lover of . . . (dramatic music, please . . . ) YUZU! I drink my yuzu and water beverage every day, and Umami Insider is the most reliable supplier of this concentrate. The candied peel that the company sent me as a nice free gift (a lovely custom many stores in Wonderland - Japan - practice) was a tasty treat that I have enjoyed following some Japanese meals The Boss makes (she is a great cook!). The taste is, for me, a welcome balance of sweet and very slightly sour/bitter that I find a welcome sensation after a meal. It is almost like a post-meal sip of a great brandy - not at all overwhelming and a nice "mouth gift" from a great company.
This is a good quality dried ramen. I usually cook it for less than 2 minutes, because any more will lose its firm texture. Be sure to run it over with water to stop the cooking process and to remove the excess salt.
One drop goes a long way. I use this on sushi or sashimi. Small bottle, but I'd say it's worth it ;)
