Very disappointed.

I had Amanatsu marmalade a few years ago. It was a gift from a Japanese friend. It is quite simply the best marmalade on the planet. In 2024 it won the gold medal at the London Marmalade Championship. The British take their marmalade very seriously.

This was not even a marmalade. It is really a syrup. It pours out like a maple syrup and bears no resemblance to Amanatsu marmalade. The tangy, slightly bitter Amanatsu preserve is a marvel. This is not it.

Don't get me wrong. I am enjoying this product but it is not what I hoped it to be. Amanatsu marmalade is not available outside Japan. End of story.

The Amanatsu candied rinds are to die for.

PETAL DROPS AND YUZU

I loved this candy. It is sweet without being too sweet. It left a refreshing taste in my mouth.

Amazing pepper

This popped up on my youtube feed. business insider did a short on how it was made. I like peppers so I ordered a bottle, when tasted it was not like any pepper I've had. Very flavorful not hot at all in fact it enhances what you put it in. Don't be afraid to experiment only a little is needed. If you like peppers you have to try it, as the tital says it's amazing.

Outrageously expensive for four umeboshis

Subtle but interesting flavor

It's pretty subtle. Adding a small amount to a true sweet potato (the white flesh) was great. The hint of yuzu added complexity to the starchiness of the potato, not to mention a beautiful creaminess. A little bit of this product was added to plain stir fry broccoli and cauliflower and the yuzu element was totally lost. Perhaps too much heat broke it down. This might be better in dressings or as finishing oil.
