This herb tea’s beautiful sky blue is uniquely eye-catching, and surprisingly, the color comes from all-natural ingredients. The tea is also exceptionally refreshing, due to the superb blend of quality herbs and Iyokan, a citrus in the Mandarin orange family, known to be juicy and well-balanced in sweetness and sourness. “Iyo" is the former name of Ehime Prefecture and “kan” means citrus, so unsurprisingly, iyokan is a specialty of the region. Family-owned herb specialty company, Ehime Herb, crafts this special herb tea. They dry iyokan slowly at low temperatures in order to intensify the sweetness and retain color. Additionally, they use quality herbs, including those grown in-house. Then they pack the blended tea by hand, which allows the use of larger pieces, thereby maximizing the character of each ingredient. This herb tea, consisting of iyokan, lemongrass, butterfly peas, peppermint, and cornflowers, exhibits a fruity aroma with no bitterness or astringency. It is a caffeine-free drink, and no artificial flavorings or preservatives are used. Its beautiful color and taste are perfect for enjoying it chilled. It comes with 5 individual tea bags.
To brew this herb tea, add one pyramid-shaped sachet into cold water (500ml / 18 oz) and let it sit for about 12 hours in the fridge. After this, you’ll have an exquisite cold tea where you can enjoy an uplifting Iyokan orange aroma, just as if you were drinking freshly squeezed citrus juice. Don’t forget to remove the sachet once the flavor is to your taste. You can enjoy the tea for a couple of days. It can be served as is, or you can freeze it into cubes, and add them to your favorite drinks. Its beautiful sky-blue color will leave your drink dreamily picturesque. Another photogenic trick is to put a few drops of lemon juice onto the herb tea. This turns the sky blue color pink instantly! Ehime Iyokan Cold Brew Tea is developed for cold brewing, but you can use hot water too. In that case, we recommend using a little more water (500-600 ml / 18-20 oz).
Lemon Grass, Butterfly Pea, Citrus Iyokan Chip, Pepper Mint, Corn Flour.
